ABOUT
Dorset based singer-songwriter, Baz Edmondson, is an exciting emerging talent within the Indie Folk/Folk Pop music scene. With a highly emotive sound, reminiscent of contemporary alternative folk artists such as Damien Rice, The Civil Wars, Ben Howard, and classic singer-songwriters such as James Taylor, Bruce Springsteen and Eva Cassidy, Baz Edmondson pulls from his roots in classic rock, writing emotionally engaging indie folk pop music, infused with elements of rock, classical, country, and modern-day film scores, full of feeling and thought. Edmondson's impressive vocal ability is both vulnerable and powerful in equal measure, with soaring melodies artfully coated in lyrics that paint vivid pictures within the minds of listeners; a storyteller very much in the mould of other musical poets such as Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen & Pink Floyd. Intricate guitars, comparable to Clapton and Knopfler, expertly combine with delicately performed piano and sweeping string sections, all fusing together to create an epic soundscape that is haunting and mesmerising.
Following the release of ‘The Shepherd’s Lullaby’, and his most recent single, 'Wills Fallow', Edmondson's music is quickly gaining new fans right across the globe, all in anticipation of his debut E.P, due for release on 30th August 2024. With a growing radio presence and an album on the horizon, Baz Edmondson is an artist to watch in 2024.
